Today I am so excited to share my first ever voxbox from Influenster.
So who and what’s Influenster?
Influenster is the place to discover new products and to read honest reviews about the products you’re dying to try.
For an influencer like me, it’s kind of a give-and-take relationship. I give them honest reviews and they give me (sometimes) full-sized product for free! This is what they’ve sent me for this month:
Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins
Mega-mushroom Relief & Resilience
Soothing Treatment Lotion
A light, soothing, watery lotion with Reishi, Sea Buckthorn & Fermented Chaga that perfectly preps just-cleansed skin for serum & moisturizer. Instantly refreshes & rebalances skin to help soothe, calm & boost hydration levels by 71%. Skin looks supple, softer & healthier-looking.
6.7 fl. oz./200ml for $34
This is my first time trying out their product so I’m really excited!
It comes in an army green plastic bottle with a plastic detachable cap. Green is my least favorite color as it reminds me of grass and mud, but this type of green is an exception.
Once opened, this product is good for 24 months.
What I am not a big fan of is the mouth of the cap. Using your hand directly would be tricky since the mouth is a bit big for the consistency of this lotion. The product will be all over your hand if you’re not going to cover it or if you don’t want to face this kind of hassle, just use a cotton pad instead.
If you leave it open and it accidentally fell, the lotion will be all over the place since using a bit of force for the product to come out is not really necessary.
It is a clear liquid and is incredibly lightweight. I’m still trying to figure out what’s the best to apply it while being economical but still, I like using it with my fingers.
I use this one just like a toner—after cleansing my face and before putting my serums and moisturizer. The refreshing feeling it gives is just perfect to wake me and skin up in the morning, especially if I don’t have time to rinse my face thoroughly.
It has a soft peppermint-like smell that is not overwhelming with herbal nuances that don’t linger when applied.
Moment of Truth
A week ago I was just telling myself that I need to buy another toner (because for some reason my ever favorite Etude House Wonder Pore Freshner is making my skin and my acne swell) and when I checked my mail I found this sitting at the front desk for weeks and I am just seriously in love.
After just 3 days of using this product and my skin is really happy! It reduces redness and puffiness almost instantly. I like how it leaves my skin smooth—it makes it easier to put my moisturizer ‘cause now it glides on my skin easily.
I seriously love this product and would absolutely restock this when I run out. The only thing I don’t like is how hard it is to apply with fingers without creating much of a mess.
Another good thing about this is that it’s alcohol-free! I accidentally scratched my cheek (as seen in the picture below) so I’m a bit scared to use it because you know, alcohol + wound = bad idea. But with this one, I don’t need to worry about that.
